About Maggie Ross
Maggie Ross is an Oglala Lakota educator, writer, storyteller, and host of Toksa Hour. Her work explores Indigenous education, sovereignty, history, politics, community, and the connections between past and present.
An educator by profession and a storyteller by nature, Maggie has spent years working in education and Indigenous communities while creating spaces for conversation, critical thinking, and storytelling. She launched Toksa Hour in 2020 and created Prairie Rose as a home for the conversations, writing, and stories that continued to grow around that work.
She has a habit of following questions wherever they lead, which explains the rabbit holes.
