Little Bighorn Story

The Battle of the Little Bighorn is one of the most written-about battles in American history. Yet many of the stories we know center the men who fought there. Women were there too. They witnessed the battle, protected their families, cared for the wounded, and, in some cases, took part in the fighting. This digital story remembers the women whose experiences are too often left at the edges of the story.
